Caramel Latte Crème Brulee

carmel latte creme bruleeYIELD: 1 QT   Portions: 6 servings

1/2 cup Coffee, strong and chilled
1 1/2 cup Cream
1 cup Whole Milk
2 Tbsp Caramel Syrup
1.2 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 package Southern Gourmet Crème Brulee Dessert Mix
1 package Southern Gourmet Sugar Blend

Directions:

  1. In a 2 qt sauce pan, combine the coffee, cream and milk.
  2. Add caramel syrup and vanilla extract.
  3. Add the contents of the Southern Gourmet Crème Brulee Mix package (5.25 oz) and bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly to avoid scorching.
  4. When bubbles first break the surface, continue to boil for 30 seconds.
  5. Remove from heat and pour into 6-4 oz. oven safe custard dishes.
  6. Let stand for 1 hour at room temperature.
  7. Sprinkle surface with contents of sugar packet and broil 1-3 minutes until browned.   
  8. Garnish with caramel syrup.
