Maple Crème Brulee
YIELD: 1 QT Portions: 6 servings
1 tsp. Imitation Maple Extract
1 1/2 cups Cream
1 1/2 cups Whole Milk
1 package Southern Gourmet Crème Brullee Dessert Mix
1 package Southern Gourmet Sugar Blend
Directions:
- In a 2 qt sauce pan, combine the maple extract, cream and milk.
- Add the contents of the Southern Gourmet Crème Brulee Mix package (5.25 oz) and bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly to avoid scorching.
- When bubbles first break the surface, continue to boil for 30 seconds.
- Remove from heat and pour into 6-4 oz. oven safe custard dishes.
- Let stand for 1 hour at room temperature.
- Sprinkle surface with contents of sugar packet and broil 1-3 minutes until browned.
- Garnish with maple syrup.
