Maple Crème Brulee

maple creme bruleeYIELD: 1 QT   Portions: 6 servings

1 tsp. Imitation Maple Extract
1 1/2 cups Cream
1 1/2 cups Whole Milk
1 package Southern Gourmet Crème Brullee Dessert Mix
1 package Southern Gourmet Sugar Blend

Directions:

  • In a 2 qt sauce pan, combine the maple extract, cream and milk.
  • Add the contents of the Southern Gourmet Crème Brulee Mix package (5.25 oz) and bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly to avoid scorching.
  • When bubbles first break the surface, continue to boil for 30 seconds.
  • Remove from heat and pour into 6-4 oz. oven safe custard dishes.
  • Let stand for 1 hour at room temperature.
  • Sprinkle surface with contents of sugar packet and broil 1-3 minutes until browned.   
  • Garnish with maple syrup.
