Celebrating the Harvest With Mrs. Wages

Totally Tomatoes!

Americans, gardeners and canners have a love affair of homegrown tomatoes.  The first bite every season stirs our memories, delights the taste buds and a brings a smile to any face.

Mrs.Wages fans will tell you nothing brings out the taste of your homegrown tomatoes like our ketchup, pasta, pizza and chili sauce mixes.  And don’t forget all of our wonderful fresh salsas in flavors like jalapeno or fruit and cilantro.  We believe canning not only preserves the wholesome garden taste for great cooking, but also connects us to each other.  Grandmothers, friends, spouses, and communities get together for canning parties, joined by youngsters eager to learn this rite of the season.

At Mrs. Wages’ Test Kitchens, we’ve got some great ideas for our tomato-based spices. Check out: Baked Mostaccioli Casserole, Cocktail Meatballs, Lean Stuffed Bell Peppers, Pizza Bagels, Pizza Soup and more…
