Illinois State Fair - Blue Ribbon Sweet Pickles


1Wash cucumbers and cut into slices.

2Combine Mrs. Wages® Quick Process® Sweet Pickle Mix, vinegar, water, and sugar in a large non- aluminum pot. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture dissolves.

3Pack cucumbers in sterilized pint jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace. Evenly pour hot pickling liquid over cucumbers leaving 1/2-inch headspace. Cover and process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.


9-11 lbs pickling cucumbers

4 ⅔ cups commercial white vinegar (5% acidity)

2 cups water

7 cups granulated sugar

1 pouch Mrs. Wages® Quick Process® Sweet Pickle Mix
