Pasta and Sausage Casserole


1Preheat oven to 350°F.

2Coat a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish with cooking spray.

3Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.

4In a large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the prepared Mrs. Wages® Pasta Sauce, tomato paste and mushrooms. Cook and stir for 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in pasta. Transfer to prepared pan. Sprinkle with the cheese, bell pepper and onion.

5Bake, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.


1 lb penne pasta

1 lb ground breakfast sausage, turkey or pork

2 pints prepared Mrs. Wages® Pasta Sauce

1 can (6 oz) tomato paste

6 baby bella mushrooms, sliced

2 cups (8 oz) shredded Italian blend cheese

2 Tbsp red bell pepper, finely chopped

1 green onion, sliced
